Music has to be recognized as an agent of social development, in the highest sense because it transmits the highest values—solidarity, harmony and mutual compassion. It has the ability to unite an entire community and to express sublime feelings.

I support Alegro Music project with all my heart, taking the children off the streets thank to good music gives hopes to the future of Brazil.
There are two distinct elements to the work of Alegro which is a long term, transformative music education project based in Curitiba in the south of Brazil.
1. Alegro supports and develops ‘Nucleos de Ensino’ (Educational Hubs) where we provide the infrastructure, instruments, teachers and logistics to enable children to learn to play music to a high level in a serious, structured, supportive environment.
2. We manage and fund the “Orquestra Jovem Alegro” (Alegro Youth Orchestra) which gives young musicians the opportunity to play in a professionally managed large scale Symphony Orchestra and the chance to study with leading international conductors and musicians.
